The August calendar
Freshman move-ins cluster in the first half of August, with returning students and 12-month leases stacking the weeks around it. If your date is assigned, book help the day you get it; if it’s flexible, aim a week either side of the crunch and mid-week — the same off-peak logic as the best time of year to move.
