The clock starts when your crew arrives and stops when the job is done, so if your move finishes early, you pay less.

The rate is all-inclusive — truck, fuel, moving blankets, equipment, and furniture assembly — and you only pay for the actual hours your move takes. Most 2-bedroom moves land in the $700–$950 range, tax included.

How does the deposit work?

Do stairs or elevators cost extra?
No. There are no access surcharges — stairs and elevators barely change a LIOO estimate, because our crews are faster than the industry average and stay fast through access setbacks. Just tell us about them when you book so the crew arrives ready.
Do you offer labor-only moving help?
Yes. If you have your own truck or container, our crews handle the loading, the unloading, or both — same all-inclusive hourly pricing, same 2.5-hour minimum.

How Pricing Works

Prorated Pricing & Minimums

All moves have a 2.5-hour minimum and an hourly rate.

If the move finishes before the minimum, you pay the minimum. If it runs longer, you pay for the actual time used.

When Will I Be Charged?

Deposit

A 25% reservation deposit locks in your date and is fully credited toward your final bill. If plans change, call us to reschedule or cancel — it stays fully credited toward your move.

Important Notice

This is a rate quote, not a binding estimate. Final charges are based on your hourly rate and actual time used. Weekend moves and locations 25+ miles from downtown have a 3-hour minimum. Moves over 50 miles are long-distance and may have different pricing.

Professional Selection Guidelines

  • Please select 3+ professionals for any move with 3+ flights of stairs.
  • We require 3+ professionals for any item weighing 250+ pounds.
  • Please select 3+ professionals for any home that is 2,500+ sq ft.

Truck Load Timing

  • As a general rule, one 26 ft moving truck holds approximately the contents of an average furnished home or apartment up to 1,500 sq ft.
  • Moving industry averages: it typically takes 2–3 hours to load a full truck. Unloading is usually faster, but one full truck load usually takes 4–6 hours total to load and unload, depending on the number of movers.

Actual move time can vary based on:

  • Customer preparedness, including packing and organization
  • Furniture disassembly and reassembly
  • Distance from the home to where the truck can park
  • Stairs, steep driveways, and elevators
  • For service elevators, please allow extra time if there is a long walk from your condo or apartment to the elevator. Long walks can increase the total job time.
  • The actual amount of furniture and belongings being moved

Additional Move Policies

  • We pad and shrink wrap all major furniture items at no additional cost.
  • Pianos, gun safes, and any item over 300 pounds require a $100 fee. Due to insurance restrictions, we do not lift anything over 400 pounds, and we do not move grand pianos.
  • We do not carry items over 300 pounds up or down full flights of stairs. We have a 5-step maximum for these items.
  • Payment is due when services are completed.
  • We do not move flammable items, guns, ammunition, pool tables, hot tubs, paint, or live plants.
  • You will receive a confirmation email from our office with the details of your move. You will also receive a confirmation text the day before your move.
  • If your move is within 72 hours, please call our office to book. If your moving date is not available online, please call our office and we will do our best to accommodate you.
