Transparent move pricing

Two pricing models. The price quoted is the price billed.

Most local Atlanta moves are priced hourly — crews from $160/hour all-inclusive ($140/hour labor-only) — while long-distance relocations are quoted per shipment in writing. Quotes are built around inventory, access conditions, scheduling, travel, and logistics before move day begins.

Many movers advertise a low starting rate, then add stair fees, fuel charges, protection costs, or access-related fees later. LIOO Moving prices the full scope upfront before dispatch.

  • Local & apartment moves Hourly pricing
  • Commercial & office moves Hourly pricing
  • Long-distance relocations Flat-rate pricing

Flat-rate pricing

Common for long-distance and logistics-heavy relocations where mileage, inventory, delivery timing, and routing are priced before dispatch.

Flat-rate pricing locks the project cost upfront instead of tracking hourly moving time across longer transport distances.

Process

How a LIOO move runs, start to finish

Most move-day problems start long before the truck arrives. Our process is structured to confirm access, organize logistics early, and keep the move controlled from dispatch through delivery.

  1. Quote preparation

    Walk-through & inventory review

Phone, video, or in-home walkthrough. We inventory rooms, identify specialty items, and review stairs, elevators, parking restrictions, loading access, and building requirements before scheduling.

Problems are identified early instead of surfacing on move day.

  2. Crew preparation

    Dispatch, equipment & protection prep

Crew size is matched to the move profile before dispatch. Protection materials, dollies, straps, runners, shrink wrap, and doorway systems are prepared in advance.

Building prep and protection systems are completed before loading begins.

  3. Execution

    Move day execution & delivery

The crew arrives in uniform with a designated foreman leading the job. Floors, elevators, and high-contact surfaces are protected first before loading starts.

Live ETA updates continue between origin and destination throughout the move.

Why this works

Built around the parts of a move that usually go wrong

Crew standards

Background-checked crews

Movers are vetted, trained on protection and lift technique, and assigned by job profile. The crew that runs a 30-story Midtown tower isn't the same crew assigned to a Vinings estate with marble floors.

Building protection

Equipment that matches the building

Floor runners, masonite for hardwood and marble, corner guards, elevator pads, mattress bags, dish packs, and wardrobe boxes are standard on every job. Custom crating available when the inventory calls for it.

Real-time coordination

Live dispatch

Live ETAs, not padded arrival windows. If we're held up by I-285 or a building's loading dock is occupied, we tell you in real time — not after the window closes.

Service area

Every service above runs across Metro Atlanta — ITP and OTP

Different parts of Metro Atlanta create different move-day conditions. Buckhead towers, Sandy Springs gated communities, Vinings driveways, Alpharetta cul-de-sacs, and historic Decatur streets all require different access planning before dispatch.

Before you book

The questions that pick the service

What moving services does LIOO Moving offer in Atlanta?

Nineteen services in five families: full-service local moves (apartment, residential, commercial, same-day, senior, and college), labor-only and loading crews (U-Haul, PODS and containers, and in-home furniture work), specialty items (pianos, antiques, safes, and other heavy pieces), packing and storage, and long-distance moves within Georgia. Every crew runs under the same Georgia Household Goods Carrier license, 2.5-hour minimum, and all-inclusive hourly billing.

How do I know which moving service I need?

Start with two questions: does anything leave the property, and whose truck is it? If nothing leaves the building, that is in-home furniture moving. If you rented the truck or a container, you need labor-only or loading help. If the truck should be ours, it is a full-service move sized to the home or office. One heavy piece is a specialty job. Still unsure? Send the two-minute quote form and dispatch routes it for you.

What is the difference between full-service and labor-only moving?

Full-service includes the truck, the crew, and all protection materials from $160 per hour. Labor-only is crew-only from $140 per hour — the muscle for loading or unloading your own truck, trailer, or container, with no travel charge inside the metro. Both carry the same 2.5-hour minimum and background-checked movers.

How many movers will my move need?

Crews run two to six movers. A one-bedroom apartment typically takes two; a three-bedroom house usually runs three or four; safes and pianos are crew-size decisions made before quoting, never on your driveway. Crew size is set from your inventory during the quote, so the price reflects it upfront.

Do you serve my part of Metro Atlanta?

Yes — every service on this page runs ITP and OTP across Metro Atlanta, from Buckhead high-rises to Alpharetta cul-de-sacs. City-specific pages cover local building access, parking realities, and elevator coordination for the areas we serve most.

How fast can a move be scheduled?

Same-day crews go out most weekdays when you call before noon, and standard bookings are usually days out, not weeks. Quote replies come back in 2 minutes or less, so you will know your price and available dates almost immediately.
