How it is priced
Every job comes down to three decisions: who wraps the breakables, who supplies the materials, and whether we also move it all afterward. LIOO Moving prices each one separately, in writing — crew hours by team size, materials as a flat package or by the item, and the move itself as its own line when you want it. Labor runs $140 an hour for two packers, $180 for three and $220 for four, and materials come as flat packages from $240 for a one-bedroom to $1,080 for a four-bedroom, or by the item; labor and materials are billed separately, and every rate is in the table below.

Unpacking
Unpacking and debris removal can be added to any job. Tell us at booking so the hours are scheduled. When a parent is downsizing into a smaller place, packing and unpacking run alongside our senior moving crews.

How a Packing Job Runs
Packing decides how well things travel: cartons packed too light collapse, unwrapped furniture scratches, and uncushioned glass cracks in transit. It also decides coverage, because under our Terms items you pack yourself are excluded from damage claims. Every step below exists to prevent breakage.
A quick call or survey sizes the job — full home, a few rooms, or fragile-only — and sets the crew and materials to match.
We bring cartons, paper, wrap, and tape — as a flat package or by the item — or work with materials you have already bought.
Heavier items go in small cartons, fragile pieces get dish packs, picture cartons and corner protection, and everything is labeled by room and contents.
Everything is staged for your movers — or ours — so the loading crew starts carrying, not sorting.

Decide what is moving, what is being donated, and what is trash — packers box what they see.
Stage a do-not-pack zone
Documents, medications, keys, chargers, and anything riding in your own car go in one clearly marked spot. Firearms, ammunition, hazardous materials and perishable food stay out of the boxes entirely; they don’t go on the truck.
Flag the irreplaceable
Point out heirlooms, art, and anything already fragile so it gets item-specific protection from the start.

Can you pack just the fragile items and leave the rest to me?
Yes. The crew boxes the glassware, artwork, electronics, and mirrors while you handle the everyday items, which keeps the billed hours and the cost down.
Do you supply boxes and materials, or do I?
Either. The crew brings cartons, paper, wrap, and tape, or works with materials you have already bought. Supplied materials come as a flat package by bedroom count, $240 for a one-bedroom, $480 for two, $780 for three and $1,080 for four, or by the item. Packages and single items can also be bought on their own, without booking any labor.
Do you also move what you pack?
On its own, this service covers the boxing and protection; it never includes a truck or transport. If you want the same company to handle the move too, that is a full-service local or long-distance move, and LIOO Moving quotes both together on one written estimate.
How far ahead should I book packing, and can you pack the day before my move?
Book 2–3 weeks ahead for a month-end date and about a week ahead for mid-month. Same-day jobs are booked by phone and carry the 3-hour minimum instead of the standard 2.5. The day before moving day is a common schedule: everything is boxed, labeled, and staged so the loading crew starts carrying the next morning.
What does packing cost in Atlanta?
It is hourly labor by crew size plus materials: $140 an hour for two packers, $180 for three and $220 for four, plus a flat materials package from $240 to $1,080 if you don’t supply your own. Labor runs on a 2.5-hour minimum (3 hours on weekends, same-day bookings, and moves 25+ miles from downtown). Materials are a flat package by bedroom count or priced by the item. The labor total depends on home size and how much is already boxed.
Can you unpack at the destination too?
Yes. Unpacking and debris removal can be added to any job in metro Atlanta: the crew unpacks the boxes and hauls away the used paper and cartons. Ask for it at booking so the hours are scheduled.
Do you provide wardrobe boxes?
Yes. Every materials package includes them — 3 in the 1-bedroom package, 6 in the 2-bedroom, 10 in the 3-bedroom, and 14 in the 4-bedroom — and they are sold one at a time too (see the rate table). Closets go straight from the rod, no folding.
Do you pack apartments and high-rise condos?
Yes. Our crews work studios through 4-bedroom houses across metro Atlanta, including high-rise condos and walk-up apartments. Mention the building type when you book so the crew size and schedule are planned around elevators, stairs, and loading access.
Is there a deposit for packing services?
Yes. A 25% reservation deposit of the estimated cost holds your date, and the full deposit is credited to your final bill. Every LIOO Moving reservation works the same way; there is no separate deposit for this service.
What happens if something gets broken during packing or the move?
Every LIOO Moving job includes released valuation at $0.60 per pound per item. Boxes our crew packs fall under that coverage; items you pack yourself are excluded from damage claims under our Terms of Service. Careful wrapping is the first line of defense: dish packs for glassware, picture cartons for art and mirrors, corner protection, and padding. Flag heirlooms and already-fragile pieces at booking so they get item-specific protection from the start.
