Boxes, paper, wrap, and the people who know how to use them — full-home packing or just the kitchen and the breakables, priced to scope on the same quote as your move.
Packing Services · Atlanta, GA
Every packing job is really three decisions: who boxes the breakables, who supplies the materials, and whether the same company moves it all afterward. LIOO Moving prices each one separately, in writing — packers at $140–$220 an hour by crew size, materials as flat packages from $240 to $1,080 or priced by the box, and the move itself as its own line when you want it. Every number is on this page before you book.
What we pack
Four Ways Atlanta Hires Our Packers
Full-home packing
Every room boxed and labeled by room and contents, heavier items in small boxes, fragile pieces cushioned and boxed on edge, everything staged so load day starts fast.
Partial packing
Partial packing is available for customers who want to pack most items themselves but need help with specialty pieces. You take the everyday items; we take the kitchen, the art, and the pieces that need real protection.
Fragile-only
Glassware, artwork, electronics, TVs, mirrors, and lamps get item-specific protection — dish packs, picture cartons, corner protection — while the rest of the house stays yours to pack.
Unpacking
Unpacking and debris removal can be added to any job. Tell us at booking so the hours are scheduled.

What these numbers do not include: a truck or transport, or furniture disassembly — taking beds and large pieces apart is part of the moving service, handled by the moving crew. Packing prepares the move; the move itself — local or long-distance — is booked as its own service on the same quote. The 2.5-hour minimum makes the smallest packing visit $350 in labor.

Process
How a Packing Job Runs
Improper packing is the most common cause of move-related damage: boxes packed too light collapse, unwrapped furniture scratches, and uncushioned glass cracks in transit. Every step below exists to prevent that.
A quick call or survey sizes the job — full home, a few rooms, or fragile-only — and sets the crew and materials to match.
We bring boxes, paper, wrap, and tape — as a flat package or by the box — or work with materials you have already bought.
Heavier items go in small boxes, fragile items are cushioned and boxed on edge, and every box is labeled by room and contents.
Glassware, artwork, electronics, TVs, mirrors, and lamps get item-specific protection: dish packs, picture cartons, corner protection.
Boxes are staged for your movers — or ours — so the loading crew starts carrying, not sorting.

Your fifteen minutes
Before the Packers Arrive
A little prep keeps the crew packing instead of sorting — and since packing is hourly, that difference shows up on your bill. If you are packing some rooms yourself first, our guides to packing dishes and glasses and packing a TV cover the technique.
Sort before we box
Decide what is moving, what is being donated, and what is trash — packers box what they see.
Stage a do-not-pack zone
Documents, medications, keys, chargers, and anything riding in your own car go in one clearly marked spot.
Flag the irreplaceable
Point out heirlooms, art, and anything already fragile so it gets item-specific protection from the start.
Tell us the order
Which rooms to pack first, and which boxes you want opened first at the destination — every box is labeled anyway.

Packing, Moving, or Both
Packing only
We box and protect; you — or a crew you have arranged — handle the move. Right when the transportation is already solved.
Loading only
Already packed and holding rental-truck keys? That is labor-only loading, not packing — same trained crews, different job. If the truck is not ready yet, storage bridges the gap.
Packing + moving
Want the packing and the move handled together? That is a full-service local or long-distance move — we quote both on one estimate.

Where We Pack Across Atlanta
High-rise condos, walk-up apartments, and single-family homes across the metro — the crew plans around the building, not just the box count. Neighborhoods we work most: Buckhead, Midtown, and Decatur — and outside the perimeter the same crews pack across Metro Atlanta, from Smyrna on the northwest side to Norcross up the I-85 corridor.

Straight answers
Packing Questions, Answered
Can you pack just the fragile items and leave the rest to me?
Yes. Partial packing is one of the most common ways Atlanta customers use a packing crew: professionals box the glassware, artwork, electronics, and mirrors while you handle the everyday items, which keeps the billed hours and the cost down.
Do you supply boxes and materials, or do I?
Either. The packing crew brings boxes, paper, wrap, and tape, or works with materials you have already bought. Supplied materials come as a flat package priced by bedroom count ($240, $480, $780, or $1,080 for 1-4 bedrooms) or by the item: $4 small box, $5 medium, $7 large, $18 wardrobe, $75 per package of bubble wrap, $100 per package of packing paper, $10 per roll of tape. Packages and individual materials can also be purchased on their own, without booking packing labor.
Do you also move what you pack?
Packing only covers the boxing and protection; it never includes a truck or transport. If you want the same company to handle the move too, that is a full-service local or long-distance move, and LIOO Moving quotes both together on one written estimate.
How far ahead should I book packing, and can you pack the day before my move?
Book a few days to a week ahead for a full home, especially in spring and summer; fragile-only jobs can often be scheduled sooner. Packing the day before moving day is a common schedule: everything is boxed, labeled, and staged so the loading crew starts carrying the next morning. Same-day packing bookings are accepted as well; they carry the 3-hour minimum instead of the standard 2.5.
What does packing cost in Atlanta?
Packing is hourly labor plus materials, and both are published. Labor runs $140/hour for two packers, $180 for three, and $220 for four, with a 2.5-hour minimum (3 hours on weekends, same-day bookings, and moves 25+ miles from downtown). Materials are flat-priced by bedroom count, $240 for a 1-bedroom package up to $1,080 for a 4-bedroom, or by the box. The labor total depends on home size and how much is already boxed; the minimum makes the smallest packing visit $350 in labor.
Can you unpack at the destination too?
Yes. Unpacking and debris removal can be added to any packing or moving job in metro Atlanta: the crew unpacks the boxes and hauls away the used paper and cartons. Ask for it at booking so the hours are scheduled.
Do you provide wardrobe boxes?
Yes. Wardrobe boxes are $18 each, and every packing-material package includes them: 3 in the 1-bedroom package, 6 in the 2-bedroom, 10 in the 3-bedroom, and 14 in the 4-bedroom, so closets pack straight from the rod, no folding.
Do you pack apartments and high-rise condos?
Yes. Packing crews work studios through 4-bedroom houses across metro Atlanta, including high-rise condos and walk-up apartments. Mention the building type when you book so the crew size and schedule are planned around elevators, stairs, and loading access.
Is there a deposit for packing services?
Yes. A 25% reservation deposit of the estimated cost holds your date, and the full deposit is credited to your final bill. Every LIOO Moving reservation works the same way; there is no separate packing deposit.
What happens if something gets broken during packing or the move?
Every LIOO Moving job includes released valuation at $0.60 per pound per item, and full-value protection is optional if elected before the job starts. The packing itself is the first line of defense: dish packs for glassware, picture cartons for art and mirrors, corner protection, and padding, because improper packing is the most common cause of move-related damage. Flag heirlooms and already-fragile pieces at booking so they get item-specific protection from the start.
