LIOO Moving is run by a small team working out of our Atlanta office: one owner, one operations manager, a coordinator who handles your questions, a safety and training lead, and crews of W-2 movers led on the job by a crew lead. This page names them and shows who is accountable for your move before you book.

Team briefWho runs LIOO Moving · Atlanta, GA

LIOO Moving is run by its founder and owner, Braylon Baker, with Tavion McCullough managing operations, Nigel Powell coordinating customers, and Ashton Turner leading safety and training. Five crew leads run the work on move day, and every mover on a LIOO truck is a W-2 employee of the company. Knowing who is behind a moving company matters more than the logo on the truck. The communication before move day, the preparation that keeps the clock from running, and the care taken once your furniture is in someone else’s hands all come down to specific people. These are ours.

Leadership & Accountability

Who runs LIOO Moving

Four people are responsible for the company behind your move. Each one is named here with what they answer for.

Braylon Baker

Founder & Owner

Braylon founded LIOO Moving and owns it today. He is the person ultimately accountable for how the company prices a move, who it hires to carry your furniture, and how a problem is resolved when one comes up.

The company’s operating principle — that most moving delays are access problems that planning solves, as set out on our About page — is his to enforce. It is why a LIOO estimate is written down with the hourly rate and crew size before move day, why access is cleared before the truck leaves the office, and why the crews are LIOO’s own employees rather than day labor.

Tavion McCullough

Operations Manager

Tavion oversees moving operations: assigning crews to jobs, building the schedule, preparing each job before the truck leaves our Atlanta office, and following up on service quality after the move.

When a building sends its certificate-of-insurance requirements, an elevator slot moves, or a customer adds rooms to the inventory, the job is re-sequenced on his side so the crew arrives with the right people, truck, and paperwork.

Nigel Powell

Customer Experience Coordinator

Nigel is who most customers talk to before move day. He handles booking questions, confirms the details of your move — both addresses, access at each end, and changes to the inventory — and keeps you posted on scheduling.

If a concern comes up before, during, or after your move, Nigel is the first person to reach. Dispatch answers 24/7 at (888) 611-5351, and paperwork such as certificates of insurance goes through info@lioomoving.com.

Ashton Turner

Safety & Training Lead

Ashton leads safety and training for the crews: how new movers are brought on, how furniture is wrapped, carried, and loaded, and the handling limits every crew works to.

Those limits are published, not improvised — nothing over 400 pounds is lifted, grand pianos are not moved, and no item over 300 pounds goes up or down more than five steps. They exist for crew safety and for insurance, and they are stated before you book rather than discovered on move day.

Move Day

Who leads the work on move day

Every LIOO job runs under a crew lead who handles the truck and the customer. Your lead introduces the crew on arrival, walks the home with you, confirms the inventory against the quote before anything is loaded, lays the floor and door-jamb protection, sets the load sequence, and does the final walkthrough with you at both ends. On move day, the crew lead is your fastest channel for anything happening at the truck.

What customers said about these crews

“Great experience! Chris and Izzy were awesome. Both were really nice and patient, even when we had issues with the elevator. They were very careful with our stuff, worked fast, and kept smiling the whole time.”

Sharon Cohen · Google review, October 2026 · crew: Christopher Jones and Israel Jordan

“I had the pleasure of working with Gary and Thomas during a local move. You can tell they take pride in what they do. They literally wrapped every item (even the ones I did not care that much about). They packed up my 2 bedroom apartment so fast. They even finished earlier than the quoted time, so they saved me money as well.”

Greg Reid · Google review, September 2026 · crew: Gary Persons and Thomas Williams

“The movers and service reps were outstanding. The pricing was very good, and the actual work was even better. My entire experience went smooth and I will definitely be recommending these movers to my friends and family.”

Tay Johnson · Google review, October 2026 · crew: Omandrea Bolton and Nate Johnson, Old Fourth Ward to Decatur

The Crew

The movers on the truck

A LIOO crew is sized to the job — the volume, the stairs, and the carry distance — and every mover on it is a LIOO employee. They are W-2 staff, background-checked and trained by LIOO, working in company trucks; they are not day-labor contractors booked through an app. The movers do the lifting, carrying, and careful placement. The crew lead runs the job.

The company hires for reliability and care as much as for strength: crews are inside people’s homes handling everything they own, and showing up on time and protecting the home come first. Moving experience is a plus, not a requirement — new movers are trained in how LIOO wraps, carries, and loads.

What “background-checked” means here. A mover clears a background check before working inside a customer’s home, and anyone who drives a LIOO truck holds a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

What “trained” means here. New movers are brought on by Ashton Turner and learn LIOO’s own procedures: how furniture is padded and wrapped, how floors and door jambs are protected, how a truck is loaded so heavy, rigid items form the base, the lifting limits on this page, and the walkthrough the crew lead runs with the customer at both ends.

How We Work

How a LIOO move runs

Six stages, in the order they happen, with the person responsible at each one.

  1. Before you book

You get a written estimate that states the crew size, the hourly rate, the minimum hours, and the arrival window, built from your bedroom count and the access at both ends. A 25% deposit reserves the date and is credited to the final bill. If anything on an estimate is verbal only, you do not have an estimate.

  2. Before move day

Access is cleared in advance. We issue a certificate of insurance the same day we receive your building’s requirements, confirm freight-elevator and dock windows, and plan truck parking at both addresses. Nigel confirms the details with you; Tavion schedules the crew. Our moving preparation guide lists what to have ready on your side.

  3. Arrival and walkthrough

A scheduled arrival is a window, not an exact minute, and the clock starts when your crew arrives and stops when the job is done. The crew lead introduces the team, walks the home with you, confirms the inventory against the quote, and discusses any changes before loading begins — not after.

  4. Protection, disassembly, and loading

Floor runners, door-jamb protection, pads, and shrink wrap go down first. Standard disassembly — bed frames, table legs, mirrors off dressers — is part of the job, with the tools on the truck. Heavy, rigid items load first to form a stable base; fragile pieces go on top. Crews work the job straight through. Packing can be added to the same quote; it runs on the same hourly clock.

  5. Delivery and final walkthrough

At the new home you walk the house with the lead before anything comes off the truck. The crew unloads, reassembles what was disassembled, and places furniture by room. The final walkthrough happens before the crew leaves — anything you notice goes on the paperwork then, because that record is what a clean claims process runs on.

  6. If something goes wrong

On move day, the crew lead is the fastest channel. For anything else, dispatch answers (888) 611-5351 24/7 and paperwork goes to info@lioomoving.com. Released-value coverage of $0.60 per pound is included. Damage claims must be reported within two calendar days of the move with the move date, order number, a description, and photos, as set out in our terms of service.

Professional Standards

Standards every crew works to

These are the standards the people above are accountable for. Each one is either a published company policy or a regulatory fact you can check yourself.

  • LIOO Moving is a licensed Georgia Household Goods Carrier, certificated by the Georgia Department of Public Safety’s Motor Carrier Compliance Division. Georgia carriers are listed in the MCCD’s public records at gamccd.net, and we wrote a guide to checking any Georgia mover’s credentials, including ours.
  • We are the carrier, not a broker. The company that quotes your move is the company whose employees run it; the names on this page are the people who show up.
  • Movers are insured, background-checked W-2 employees working in company trucks. Every truck in the LIOO fleet is a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate.
  • Handling limits are fixed for safety: nothing over 400 pounds is lifted, grand pianos are not moved, and items over 300 pounds do not travel more than five steps on stairs.
  • Crews work the job straight through. There are no lunch breaks.
  • Certificates of insurance are issued the same day we receive the building’s requirements.
  • Hazardous materials, firearms and ammunition, live plants, animals, and perishable food do not go on the truck. They travel with you.
  • Spanish-speaking service is available for dispatch and on the crew. Ask for it when you book.
What It Means for You

What you can expect from this team

One name before move day

Booking questions, access details, and schedule changes go through Nigel, so you are not re-explaining your move to a different person each call.

One lead on move day

A named crew lead runs the walkthrough, the load, and the final check at both ends. Questions at the truck get answered at the truck.

A price you can read before you pay it

Local moves are billed hourly and all-inclusive — crew, truck, fuel, and equipment — with a 2.5-hour minimum (3 hours on weekends, same-day bookings, and moves 25+ miles from downtown). The one disclosed exception is the $100 specialty-item fee for pianos, gun safes, and single items over 300 pounds, quoted before you book. The written quote states all of it before move day.

An owner you can reach

LIOO is a small company with a named owner, a published address, and a crew that works for the company. If something is not right, there is a specific person responsible for making it right.
