Dunwoody incorporated in December 2008 around housing stock that had already split in two directions. One half stands up: condo towers and apartments clustered at Perimeter Center, where the MARTA heavy-rail station sits. The other half spreads out: wooded half-acre lots south of the country club, cluster homes in Georgetown, and 1960s ranches on the Winters Chapel side.
